Rolf Sorg - Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2013 Finalist

Rolf Sorg was a finalist of Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, not once but six (!) times between 2005 and 2013. In 2009, he was even nominated as an Entrepreneur of the Year.

Rolf Sorg was called into European Economic Senate (“EWS”) in 2005 and he is also a member of the board of trustees for “Deutsche Sporthlife” (German Sport Aid).

Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award is a prestigious award to recognise top entrepreneurial performance. It is held yearly and competed by hundreds of companies in over 40 countries. Companies have to pass through stringent criteria on corporate growth, innovation strength and social engagement, as well as a multi-stage selection process.

European Economic Senate (EWS, EUROPÄISCHE WIRTSCHAFTSSENAT e.V.) is an independent, non-partisan organization that serves to represent varieties of European business interest. Up to 300 very successful individuals who are among the market leaders in their fields are especially selected into this body.

Not only is Rolf Sorg a man of many achievements, he is also a courageous man. In May 2013, Rolf Sorg won a lawsuit against Google for the violation of his personal rights.

We are all familiar with the auto-completion feature in Google search. However, do you know that it is susceptible to manipulation since it is based on frequent search terms by users? This does not correspond to the truth and the German Federal Supreme Court ruled that the injunction relief sought by Rolf Sorg against Google is justified.
